WAWWA: DEVELOPMENT PRT.8

I decided to look back at the painting I did previously and experiment with it using photoshop. I wanted to make the ‘cells’ actually look like cells, especially the corona virus cell. I cut the cell painting and then layered the Lino print of cell I also did on top. I fell this really looked like the actually cell. I then went to change the colouring with more bright and neon colours. I really like the outcome and find the pieces really effective.

I also did I piece of me, with the Lino prints of the lung layering on top on me with the colouring changed. I too like this piece and feel I would like to go down this type of path with my more resolved pieces in the future.

WAWWA:DEVELOPMENT PRT.6

I started to paint a piece where there’s a detailed cell in the centre, however it wasn’t going well, it just wasn’t turning out the way a expected, and I was struggling with the colours. So, I decided to put them into photoshop and change the colours into that.

I then went on to use photoshop as a way to collage my previous work together. For the first collage piece, I wanted to show a representation of how the virus can seem to be everywhere, and I put the Lino print of the ‘air sac’ over the body as I way to make it clearer. I really like the contrast in this piece and the dreamy feel it has.

I then used the painting I did, and photoshopped it into the background of a photo I took of myself. This was to show that the virus felt it was always looming about us, even when you’re in you own bed, its hard now a days to not be thinking about it, even when you close your eyes.

The last photoshop I didn’t like as much. This piece was more a experimentation, where I just wanted to if the composition would be effective, I feel it is effective to an extent, but next time I would either more colour or change the position.

WAWWA: DEVELOPMENT PRT.4

I took photographs of my myself in a curls up positions with my back facing the camera. I wanted to portray a tired, scared and fragile vibe. I then went on to change it to black and white and photoshop my prints that I did earlier into it.

This was completely experimental as I have never really done photoshop, but I really enjoyed using. I tried different colours and really pixel the last picture as it reminded me of little cells, which I felt fitted perfectly with the current theme I am focusing on.

I have more picture I would like to photoshop and experiment more with. In the future I want to add more to artwork as I feel this art piece is a little plain.
