FINAL PIECE

For my final piece I decided that I will be collecting the small video created and combining them to create a long video. I also decided to incorporate my photographs that were taken.

Originally I was just going to have the videos and pictures on their own, but I felt that was boring and wouldn’t have the effect I want. I then video myself walking, and only capturing my feet as they walk across the street, also recording the sound around me.

I then combined everything together, which I feel created a successful outcome. I really like the video and I think having the audio was the right choice.

The video is about memory and looking back of the memories of the place you live. The small insignificant memories that you don’t even know you know. Thats what I feel creates a city.

DIGITAL WEEK – VIDEO.

For the digital task, we had to create a minute long video of at least 4 edits that connects with our 2D project and a image that contains five different images. We were allowed to use videos and pictures from Pexels – a website that allowed you to download any video or image for free – and to video our own content. I based my video on waves and started to experiment with the sound of layering of waves. I then decided to add a lecturer speaking about the equation of water waves and wave dispersion. I was going to leave the video on a repeat, however the waves reminded me of holidays and surfing, the 70s then came to mind and I decided to add some 70s advertisement about wavey as that is what the waves also reminded me of. I really enjoyed this week and found a new love of media and I would really like to use film in up coming projects.
